I want to become a Teacher - Joy Baldacchino

Aspiring job

When I grow up I would like to be a P.S.C.D teacher because P.S.C.D (in my opinion) is a very interesting subject.

I’ve wanted to become a teacher of this subject from a very early age. However being a P.S.C.D teacher means hard-work and lots of studying, I will have to get a higher diploma in Biology, then get some degrees, but that’s not all, I will study psychology and sociology, those subjects will help me understand my students better.

It is really important to have a nice character, to be fun and be polite and respectful to all your collegues and students. Creating activities will also make you job much more fun.

As they say, if you love your job you will never have to work a day in your life. I think this will apply when I get my job.

I want to become a Doctor - Lindsey Frendo

When I grow up I would like to be a doctor. I would like to be a doctor because I like helping people and finding what’s wrong with them. Here are some things that you need to become a doctor who is hard working.

To become a doctor, you are required to obtain a medical degree or a PhD. You need to study Biology and Chemistry to obtain this job. Undergraduate work should be in a scientific field. After medical school, you must complete a residency and you will be required to obtain a license to practise medicine.

Key skills that will help you as a doctor include strong medical skills, dexterity to perform procedure, stamina to make rounds, problem-solving ability, possess patience, attention to detail and interpersonal skills.

Doctors that work at hospitals must keep their cell-phones on always because if he is out with his family and something happens they call him and he needs to go to the hospital when they call him. A doctor needs to do many sacrifices like not seeing his family. I hope that when I grow up I will follow this dream of becoming a doctor and help people.

Accountant - Liam Brincat

      My favourite job is to be an accountant. To be an accountant you have to be good at maths and English.

      Accounting or accountancy is the measurement, processing and communication of financial information about economic entitles such as business and corporations. Accounting which has been called the language of business, measures the result of an organization ‘s economic activities.

      Practitioners of accounting are known as accountants. The terms accounting and financial reporting are often used as synonyms .Accounting can be divided into several fields including financial accounting. Accounting is facilitated  by accounting .

     I want to be an accountant  because I love maths and English and I want to follow my father ‘ s path.

When I grow up I want to become an author. An author writes books. There are many different types of books including fiction or non-fiction books, biographies and much more.

To become an author you need a lot of imagination. If you found a good idea you need to know how to express that idea in the best way so it captures the readers making them want to read more. You also need good orthography and punctuation. Reading helps a lot if you want to become an author.

Before you start writing the actual book it is best to plan it first. If you want to write a book about something or somewhere you should gather a lot of information before actually starting to write. if you want to write a fiction book you have to have an idea and then to plan on how to develop it. Once you finished that you start to write the book. The length of the procedure depends on how long the finished book will be. Once you write the book you have to find a publisher so you can publish the book and start selling it.

To become an author is my dream because writing is an easier way for me to express my true feelings and beliefs.

I want to become a Pilot - Giulio Spiteri

When I grow up I would like to become a pilot
because it is the best career in the world. I could
go around the world for free several times. A job of
a pilot is not easy because there are many
preparations to be made ahead. A pilot has to
study two years of flight theory and spend a year
practicing flying before getting a pilot’s license.
One of the subjects a pilot needs to know well is
Geography.

A pilot needs to know which types of planes are
around and be able to fly them based on their
engine type. The fastest planes in the world are
the military ones, known as F16. Such planes are
used for military training, wars and rescue
activities. Another type of planes are the red
arrows, which produce colourful exhaust and are
flown during international air shows.

My dream is to become the greatest pilot in the
world. Most of all I hope one day I will fly an F16
not to go to war but as part of my pilot training. I
feel thrilled to fly the F16 because we have never
seen any F16s in Malta and these planes are
awesome jets.

When I grow up I would like to be a scientist

 Scientists are people that discover the world around us. They discover how animals and plants live and grow, what things are made of and how they work. They also study about stars, planets, weather and rocks that make the world.

 Scientists can also help doctors by making medicines to cure people, make complicated machines so that doctors can use them in hospital. Scientist also investigate what makes us ill and how we could be healthy.

 Scientists can do experiments to test their ideas. Also they can invent inventions to make our life easier. The first inventions were stone tools which early people began to make about two million years ago. During the Stone Age, people discovered how to sew animal skins together to make clothes.

 Scientists also change our lifes. Karl Benz invented the first car in 1897. If he did not invent the car, we would go to work on foot or by bike. Id Dr Hans von Ohain and Sir Frank Whittle didn’t invent the jumbo jet, known as a plane, we would have to travel by ship, which would not be comfortable for people that easily get sea-sick! The most famous scientist is Albert Einstein which made many discoveries about time, space, the force of gravity and nuclear energy.

 I would like to become a scientist because I love science and I am inspired by Albert Einstein because I have many ideas and Einstein became famous because the ideas he wrote, amazed the world.

Marine Biologist - Nirvana Tabone

An Aspiring Job

         Growing up, I always had a lot of dream jobs...from teacher to engineer. Right now I want to be a marine biologist. I think it is the perfect job for me because I love science and marine life has always interested me.

          Marine biologists are scientists who study marine life. While marine biologists study intelligent and endearing creatures, these scientists are also constantly trying to find ways to eliminate pollution and saving species which are on the edge of extinction. This is hard work. Only 3%-5% of the ocean is discovered.

          To be a marine biologist, you must earn a Bachelor’s Degree, complete a Master’s programme and master the diving skill. These scientists mostly work in oceanography centres, laboratories, aquariums, research boats and vessels and more. Many marine biologists are also teachers and professors during the winter months when less work is being done.

          Well, this is what I want to become when I grow up. Maybe I will be a famous marine biologist or I might have second thoughts about this job. If I become a marine biologist when I grow up, I am sure that I will be happy on work!

An aspiring job

I have a lot of thoughts going through my mind of what I’d like to be when I grow up. I am sure whether to my open my own dance company or become a vet and study about animal health.

My love and passion for dance runs deeper, but at the same time, I love to see happy and healthy animals. This is why I want to become a vet. I get to give out advice to pet owners for their animal, checking if they are healthy and even saving animals that are nearly going to die!

A vet is a professional who treats disease, disorder, illnesses and injuries in pets, farm animals and zoo animals. They work in private clinics or animal hospitals. The vet’s job can be very challenging and demanding because they have to know how to get along with uncooperative animals. They perform medical operations and surgeries on animals. As vets, they get paid very well.

Some vets work to rescue animals from the streets and busy roads, apart from a vet’s main things to do in their jobs. Some vets are researchers, which means their jobs is to study animal and human health and illnesses that can transmit between them.

I really like this job and I hope that I can follow my dreams and one day I will become one of those professional vets!

Tourist Guide

The job I Aspire to

          When I grow up I would like to be a tourist guide.  This is because I like History and learning different languages.

       By being a tourist guide, I would travel around the world and visit a lot of countries and historical sites.  I would be able to assist and inform tourists about the cultural and historical heritage on religious and historical sites and museums.  The advantages of being a tourist giude are that I would go on vacations to far-off places and immerse myself together with the people I am travelling with  in the culture as we enjoy everything from the food to the entertainment and landmarks.

Some disadvantages of being a tourist guide are that I would work long hours and be busy during holiday seasons.  I would have to deal with demanding customers and probably don't get paid enough.  The skillls I need to have to be a tourist guide are to be friendly, have a helpful nature, good physical fitness, excellent communication and people skills and to be responsible, honest and reliable.

  I think the job of a tourist guide is very interesting and a life time experience!

I want to become a Veterinarian - Eliana Zahra

                When I grow up I would like to be a veterinarian. This is because I love to be around different kinds of animals.

            A veterinarian’s job is to examine animals to identify their health problems. They have to heal wounds and perform surgery on animals against diseases. Many do not take heed that veterinarians have to advise animal owners about how to take care of them. It is important for veterinarians to know everything about medical conditions and treatments. Sadly, they also need to know how to euthanise animals.

To become a veterinarian I need to work extremely hard. I need to complete a bachelor’s degree programme and become licensed. I also need to gain experience. Some of the advantages of being a veterinarian are that you can earn lots of money and if you love animals as much as I do, you will be where the heart is! Unfortunately, every job has its disadvantages and some are that you can face angry and fierce pets and animals and upset owners and you always have to be on call!

I wish that in ten years time I would be studying to become a veterinarian. Do you think I will succeed?
